This pioneer cemetery has tenants that have been here since before the Civil War but it fell into neglect in the ‘40s and 50s. In more recent years the property was cleaned-up and adjacent land was acquired. It’s educational to wander thru the oldest section, and sad to see stone after stone of the children that failed to survive infancy, and sadder still to see the stones of my own family members that died during my lifetime.
